Braun Electroscope

This rugged, sensitive electroscope can accept various accessories to change its capacitance. Sensitive aluminium vane is balanced in a vertical position on a metal support which is insulated from its base. The vane is easily observed and projected on a chalk board (light source not included). On which an arbitrary scale has been marked. Height without attachement is about 12’’ . Attachements can be charged using either power supply or electrophorus (not included).

  Electric Whirl

The Electric Whirl or Electric Fly is made of a number of brass wires, with rearward-facing sharp points, joined at a hub.

  Faraday's Plate

This is an lightning plate used for electrostatic demonstration. Demonstrates how an electric discharge will follow the path of resistance. Even though it is longer than a direct path. A long metallic conductor crosses a 10 x 15 cm. nonconducting plate. When the ends of the conductor are connected to an electrostatic machine or spark coil , the path of the current is emphasized by sparks across gaps in the conductor.

  Multi Spire Device Or Floating Magnets

This is a simple device showing the magnetic effect. A simple rod mounted on a round plastic base . when two permanent magnts are introduced in the rod with the opposite poles facing sides shows the magnetic effect.

  Pitch Ball Electroscope

The plastic balls replace the more expensive pitch balls and are slightly more durable but heavier. Balls are threaded stand. Use insulated stand. Use with friction rods or Van De Graff Generators

  Precision Projection Electroscope

Project your measurements onto a screen for a large group to see with this well-made electroscope. Its cylinderical metal case has two parallel plane glass windows, both removeable, through which you can shine a light for projection. Close fittings and quality materials insulate the leaf system so it says charged for several days in dry whether.

  Pitch Balls

Used to Detect Electrostatic Charge Available in plain or attached to a light thread about 22 cm long. Coated pith balls and spheres have light conductive coating used in charge transfer experiments.
